Resurfacing work is done when the driveway needs some structural or cosmetic work, but it is not so bad that the entire thing has to be ripped out and replaced. There's Pooling Water
When your driveway was first put in, it was put in a certain way so water would drain off of it. You do not want pooling water on your driveway so if you are seeing it, it is a sign that something has changed with the condition of the driveway. You will want to call to have the pavement resurfaced.
There are Cracks
The cracks might start out small and that usually causes a lot of people to overlook them. They might assume that there is nothing to worry about as long as the cracks stay small. The problem is that the cracks hardly ever stay small. They will grow in size before you know it. It is best to simply get the resurfacing done and over with while the cracks are small. This way, additional damage to the driveway is avoided.
The Edges Are Falling Apart
Go take a look at the edges of your paved driveway. You will want to call to arrange for driveway repair and resurfacing work if you notice that the edges are crumbling. This is not something you want to turn a blind eye to as the situation will only get worse. More and more of your driveway can crumble and it could actually become a tripping hazard for people.
Call a few different paving companies so you can get an appointment with each one. You want them to send someone out to personally evaluate the condition of your paved driveway, come up with a list of the things that need to be done to it, and then give you a written price quote for all of the work. Make sure that you are asking questions while they are there so you can gather all of the information needed to make the decision of who you are going to hire for the resurfacing job.
